about us

We are an informal network of friends and collaborators, surfing a new wave of cultural change.  This site is a space for us to share stories from our learning process with each other and with others who are starting to sense the wave too. We hope that by increasing the visibility of what we are trying and noticing, we may be better able to create ‘the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible’.

Without defining what this wave is, we can offer a few pointers in the direction we think it is going:

  1. The thinking and behaviour of individuals, groups and society is influenced by the explicit and implicit assumptions we make about ‘how things work’. This results in patterns that we might call ‘culture’

  2. We can attune ourselves to see more of the culture around us, and learn to work with culture artistically – not controlling it, but dancing with it.

  3. As we become more ‘culture-literate’, we notice how much of humanity’s cultural patterns seem to work against the things we really value, and imagine new possibilities for culture that work better.

  4. We can create spaces that invite more connection and agency, where our differences are truly valued, and where we support each other to be at our best, whatever that means to us.

  5. When we invite people into these spaces, they often find themselves thinking differently than before, seeing culture in a new way. We invite them to participate in creating a culture of collaboration and learning, and they do.

  6. As we’ve held these spaces, a network has formed – one filled with folks who are practicing this kind of cultural artistry together. A network of trust and curiosity that is doing things differently and learning as we go.

  7. We believe this way of being together holds the potential for humanity to create better ways of living in harmony with all of life.

This site is primarily focused towards others in the network and includes jargon that may be confusing for folks newer to this particular network.  At some point we may include a glossary of nuanced terminology, but for now, if a particular word seems to throw you off, feel free to mentally replace it with another word that makes more sense to you.

This site is stewarded by Naryan & Eileen, as one experiment in fostering communication in this network. We welcome relevant contributions and questions!
